OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Veteran Services Development Manager is responsible for managing business development aspects of the company sales efforts, with a
Primary focus on Veteran Directed Home and Community Based Services (VD-HCBS) customer relationship and growth. The role will incorporate
generating new business along with additional penetration in existing partners and direct customers, managing market competitiveness, pricing,
and distribution through channel strategies. The Veteran Services Development Manager translate customer service strategy into action. The
Veteran Services Development Manager will be a representative of the company and is responsible for presenting the company positively to
current and potential customers.

  • Target prospective clients and identify opportunities that will lead to pipeline growth and successful closings of new opportunities, including developing and managing prospective customer relationships.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction visits and surveys while monitoring the results on an established regular cadence.
  • Build a customer pipeline and close deals to facilitate revenue goals.
  • Facilitate new contracts, renewals, expansions and review contract outcomes.
  • Assists in creating marketing and promotional materials both in print and online specifically for the Veteran targeted audience.
  • Attend conferences and tradeshows as requested.
  • Represent the best interests of Acumen and the Veterans served when interacting with all stakeholders.
  • Use strategic and solutions oriented thinking to complete multiple tasks.
  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • Travel 50%+.
  • Demonstrates detailed knowledge of the companys products and services.
  • Able to occasionally work other than typical work hours to meet high volume demands.
  • Possesses knowledge of competitive markets.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively.
  • Exhibits familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively.
  • Possesses strong persuasive abilities.
  • Demonstrates solid motivational and leadership skills.
  • Maintains a professional but confident and outgoing demeanor.
  • Is capable of conducting independent research.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • A high standard of integrity and sound business ethics.
  • Preference given to qualified Veterans
