JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Therapist
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Variable hours
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
JOB PURPOSE: Provide therapy services for individuals and their families. Provide group therapy services for individuals. Assist in program reports, development, marketing, and expansion of the counseling program. Develop person-centered treatment plans for individuals served and measure goal progression.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide counseling services to clients and their families in both group and individual sessions.
- Assess, screen, analyze, interpret, and evaluate medical, psychological, social, educational, employment, and any other referral information received.
- Assist with administrative duties as needed.
- Develop individualized and person-centered treatment plans, goals, progress notes, and outcome measurements to ensure compliance with funder guidelines.
- Assist with grant writing and program expansion.
- Complete necessary documentation and monthly reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain communications (written and verbal) with clients, referral sources, and other staff/professionals.
- Complete continuing education credits as required to maintain licensure/certification.
- Maintain clean and orderly environment.
- Familiarize self with and follow facility and department policies and procedures.
- Follow all personnel policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of counseling, social work, or related field (master's degree). Missouri license for counseling (LPC) required. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities a plus, proficiency in computer programs required. CPR certification, and first aid training required (these trainings will be provided upon hire along with required agency trainings).
