THE POSITION

The Residential Assistant/Medication Aide provides support to adults with developmental disabilities living in a residential setting. These employees advocate for their residents by promoting resident choice and providing support in their daily living tasks. Successful candidates for this position are passionate about making a difference in peoples lives and have a desire to help each resident achieve the highest quality of life possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide assistance to residents receiving support
  • Act as an appropriate role model and support residents in using appropriate language, dress, table manners, respect, and other behavior as needed
  • Ensures that clean and safe environments are maintained
  • Ensures documentation is accurate, compliant, and timely for services rendered
  • Quickly and effectively responds to all emergency situations

Qualifications

  • Must be a least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma/GED (preferred)
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license and car insurance
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must provide or obtain CPR/First Aid Certification (provided by RISE)
  • Must provide or obtain Medication Aide Certification (provided by RISE)
