Job Coach (Employment Specialist)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Offer job-coaching services.
- Provide support to clients of RISE Services Inc.
- Assess clients' job sites, evaluate individual needs to ensure optimal work performance, and ensure compliance with ADA standards.
Accompany newly hired clients to their job orientation.
Ensure that clients understand the on-the-job training provided to them by their employer.
Assist in making necessary accommodations to the job description.
Support clients in developing and enhancing effective social skills for workplace success.
Design and implement behavior-management training strategies to support client success.
Conduct job analyses at assessment and employment sites to identify essential tasks and requirements.
- Ensure clients receive proper compensation and implement strategies, including task analysis and pictorial tools, to facilitate effective learning of job tasks.
- Assess, recommend, and coordinate adaptive equipment and technology to enhance client efficiency in the workplace.
- Collaborate with staff and employment personnel to develop and implement Individual Support Plans for clients.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the employment support team to support client success.
- Provide reliable transportation between worksites to support client services and job site needs.
Participate in monthly staff and supervisory meetings to stay informed and coordinate client support.
- Manage a caseload of clients receiving ongoing supported employment, providing guidance and support to ensure job success.
Connect clients with appropriate community resources to support their employment and personal development needs.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills and proficiency with relevant software applications.
Exhibit professional writing skills for clear and effective communication.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation to ensure compliance and record-keeping standards are met.
Maintain clear and professional communication with employers and state providers to support client employment outcomes.
- Ensure organizational compliance with CARF standards and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
Adhere to facility and department policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational consistency.
Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills to efficiently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Adhere to all personnel policies to ensure compliance and maintain a professional work environment.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support organizational needs and client success.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED. Some college preferred
Preferred experience: Work experience with individuals with disabilities or background in social service.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to be very flexible. Excellent professional writing skills and good computer skills are preferred. CPR & First Aid training.
Work Hours: Must have a reliable vehicle, license, and valid insurance and have the availability to work during days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Using fine and gross motor skills. Ability to push or pull up to 25 pounds. Lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop and reach.
