RISE Services, a nonprofit human services organization, is seeking a full-time Lead Direct Support Professional with a passion for supporting people with disabilities in the Eugene Family Services Program! Benefits are available and pay is $13.60/hr.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist the coordinator in the management and implementation of customer supports in a manner that meets and exceeds the expectation of RISE customers. This will include but is not limited to administrative tasks as requested, recruitment efforts, organization, planning and execution of community events, and the training and mentoring of new hires within the family services department. 

  • Plan and implement meaningful activities that promote skill development for people receiving support. 

  • Communicate status of supports and other issues/problems frequently with supervisor and with Director/Assistant Director as needed. 

  • Act as an appropriate role model and support people in using appropriate language, dress, manners, respect, and other behavior as needed. 

  • Maintain necessary records, logs, and other documentation as required by state Oregon Administrative Rules, county regulations, and also RISE policy. 

 

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year experience in the field of developmental disabilities or related field preferred and/or Bachelor's degree. 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 

  • Must pass a background check upon hire as well as annually through the Oregon DHS Background Check Unit. 

  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

  • Must have access to reliable transportation to get to and from the work site and for transporting others, if applicable. 

  • Must have a passion for working people with disabilities or special needs. 

  • Must have adequate verbal and written communication skills in order to correspond professionally with colleagues, customers, and community partners.
