RISE Services, a nonprofit human services organization, is seeking an Executive Director responsible oversee the operations, direction and management of the Utah departments and programs through the implementation of the RISE Mission, Vision, and Values and in compliance with all regulations and policies. In this role, the Executive Director will be responsible to implement the services that are provided to our clients with developmental disabilities. The Executive Director will develop and teach life skills and help achieve the goals of the client. They would also have the leadership skills to direct employees on how to teach life skills as well as lead operations, budget, staffing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide management and supervision of coordinators throughout the region.
- Work as a team strategizing, creating, and overseeing plans that will provide the best available support for individuals in services.
- Supervise, train and oversee the management of regional directors and coordinators.
- Ensure that the necessary records, logs and other documentation are maintained, as required by RISE and the state.
- Coach, train, and mentor employees, providing positive leadership and team building based on respect, cooperation, and competency.
- Effectively advocate for people receiving support.
- Responsible for proper administration of budgets and financial oversight for designated region.
- Position includes being on-call and limited traveling.
- Teach and develop life skills and provide community activities and opportunities.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience or related BA degree in the field of human services with developmental disabilities
- Previous experience developing teaching learning skills, social skills, and communication skills.
- Must have verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job task required
- Appropriate telephone etiquette and skills
- Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology, teaching principles, human behavior or principles of psychology useful
- Ability to work flexible hours
