Description

RISE, Inc., a 35+ year old growth oriented non-profit multi-state organization with annual revenues of $140MM+ serving the developmentally disabled community, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager. The candidate will provide organized and detail oriented professional services for high volume receivable and collection efforts within the Finance division. This position will work in our corporate office, which is conveniently located at Greenfield Rd. & US 60 in Mesa, AZ. In addition, the candidate will also have the flexibility and option to take advantage of our hybrid work-from-home/office schedule. MBA preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Organize the processing of multi-state receivables and collections related to Medical insurance and Medicaid billings.
  • Review and analyze processes and issues; assist team in developing proactive processes for effective and efficient resolution.
  • Ensure accurate processing of data by monitoring compliance with all state, federal, and accounting guidelines.
  • Ensure EDI billing is processed correctly and work with internal and external departments to implement EDI billing for other programs as needed.
  • Prepare end of month AR reconciliation, unapplied payments, revenue variance analysis, and roll forward deposit log.
  • Review and analyze monthly write-off / revenue adjustment trends.
  • Identify key performance indicators for AR and provide metrics to measure the success of the department.
  • Effectively build relationships with contract representatives to facilitate billing issue resolution.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the AR department, internal departments, and external customers.
  • Work closely with executive management and managers to achieve company’s strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and training.
  • Assist with coordination of external audits and responses to auditor requests related to AR.
  • Create, update and maintain process and program documentation; including corporate policies & procedures related to AR.
  • Manage and provide leadership to staff.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors in accounting or finance; MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ accounts receivable experience in billing/collections at both a transactional & analysis level; with a focus on Medical billing and Medicaid experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Computer skills experience preferred: Advanced excel skills (i.e. Macros), Microsoft D365 Business Central, and experience with other Microsoft 365 Apps including Power Bi is a plus.
  • Experience working in and implementing EMRs.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Experience with a multi-company organization highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills are a must. 
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy are needed in order to meet deadlines. 
  • Must have strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of the accounting team.  Must be able to work effectively with department co-workers as well as with members of other departments.  Must be able to interface professionally both inside and outside of the organization.
